Great job, you have made it to the end of the education content for Week 2. This week we have discussed the connection between styles of thinking and perfectionism. The way you think plays a big role in maintaining your perfectionism. This is why we also covered several skills to help you challenge and reframe your thoughts, so that they are more helpful and realistic. Once you master these skills, you will feel more empowered to stand up to your perfectionistic inner critic.
We encourage you to practice these skills every day. Start by simply learning to be more aware of your thoughts. Then you can move on to challenging some of your less intense thoughts. Lastly, you can attempt to challenge your hot thoughts and core beliefs. We continue to build on your toolbox of knowledge and skills to manage perfectionism next week, when we cover the topic of behavioural strategies.
